It’s springtime finally and what better way to celebrate then see what the Stork is working on. I had the pleasure of shooting the beautiful and multi-talented Aubrey Aquino in her very glamorous pregnant state! She makes this all too easy given that it ain’t a pillow under her dress… Amazing styling and make-up by the wonderful celebrity stylist and fashion designer Tamae Ishii and flawless hair by Lior Malka.
The Waldorf Fashion Couture weekend had nearly 20 designers showing off their latest creations over a period of three days. I had the lucky opportunity to photograph them all and have posted a few selections here for your viewing pleasure. Take a look and see what you can find to wear for your next gala!
Barbara Tfank‘s NYC Fashion Week show in February was a treat. Situated in the Chelsea area of Manhattan that is home to various artists the designer showed off her new collection reminiscent of the 60s styles featured these days on television’s runaway hit Mad Men. If the stylish First Lady Michelle Obama is cool with Barbara Tfank’s clothing then you might want to take a look-see at some of the designs that were on offer.
Jad Ghandoor’s NYC Fashion Week show in February was quite something. Cipriani’s on 42nd Street was cleared out for the show and it was a packed house. I got to take some pictures of the beautiful building interior beforehand but unfortunately didn’t have a chance to grab one of their famous Bellinis. At least not this time… In the show there was lots of leather and fur. But I am not a fashionista so fashion talk will stop here. Let’s go to the pictures!
Native Son’s NYC Fashion Week show in February offered some really cool clothing for men. Hosted in the massive studios at Chelsea Piers, the models were arranged on stands like pieces on a chess board. As they stood there for several hours, almost perfectly still, I couldn’t help being reminded of the various mimes that do the same all over NYC except that the models at the show couldn’t collect donations from their audience.
